API Quick Start introduces live, beneficial nitrifying bacteria into aquarium water, jump starting the natural biological cycle that converts toxic waste compounds from fish and uneaten food into far less harmful substances. It is used when setting up a brand new aquarium, after a significant water change, or when adding new fish, situations where the tank's natural bacterial balance can otherwise be disrupted. Used alongside API Stress Coat to treat the tap water first, it allows fish to be added to a new tank straight away rather than waiting weeks for a tank to cycle naturally.
For a brand new tank, add Stress Coat first to treat the tap water, then add Quick Start, shaking both bottles well before use. Dosing is based on the tank's actual water volume, follow the instructions on the bottle rather than guessing. Free delivery on all orders over 49 euro. Orders under 49 euro have a delivery charge of 6.95 euro. We deliver anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.
A brand new aquarium normally needs weeks to build up the bacteria that keep fish safe, a genuine problem for anyone eager to actually add fish. This product introduces that bacteria directly, so a new tank is ready for fish far sooner.
