The API 5 in 1 Test Strip checks five of the most important aquarium water parameters in a single dip, pH, nitrite, nitrate, carbonate hardness and general hardness. Poor water quality is invisible to the eye but is one of the most common causes of fish stress, illness and loss, so regular testing catches problems early rather than after fish are already suffering. Simply dip a strip into the aquarium, swirl briefly, and compare the resulting colours against the included chart for a fast reading across all five parameters at once, suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
Test weekly as a baseline, and more often when setting up a new aquarium, after a water change, or if fish are showing signs of stress or illness. A single reading is a snapshot, tracking results over a few weeks gives a much clearer picture of what is actually happening in the tank. If a reading shows a problem, treat the specific parameter that is out of range rather than guessing. Free delivery on all orders over 49 euro. Orders under 49 euro have a delivery charge of 6.95 euro. We deliver anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.

It measures pH, nitrite, nitrate, carbonate hardness and general hardness in a single dip.
Weekly as a baseline, and more frequently during a new tank setup, after a water change, or if fish show signs of stress.
Yes, it works in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
