The PlaqueBusters Rawhide Knuckle Bone is a classic knuckle shaped rawhide chew, this one measuring 15cm. Knuckle bones are a shop favourite for dogs who like to settle down and gnaw for a good while.
Rawhide needs honest handling. It softens as your dog chews and the danger is a soft piece being swallowed whole, which can cause choking or a blockage. Pick a size your dog cannot fit fully in their mouth. If your dog is a power chewer who tears off chunks, rawhide is not the right chew for them. Puppies and dogs with sensitive stomachs should be introduced slowly.
Supervise your dog every time with this chew. Take it away once it is small enough to swallow or when soft pieces start coming loose. Keep fresh water down while they chew and treat it as part of the daily intake.
