Chipsi Green Apple 3.2kg is a dust extracted wood shaving bedding, infused with a green apple scent, in this larger 3.2kg size, suited to hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, rabbits and guinea pigs. Dust extraction matters genuinely for small animal respiratory health, since a standard, untreated wood shaving can be dusty enough to irritate the lungs of an animal living close to the ground in an enclosed cage. The natural wood fibre is absorbent and helps control odour between full cage cleans.
Spot clean soiled areas regularly and fully change the bedding on a normal schedule, dust extraction reduces irritation risk but does not remove the need for regular cleaning. Keep bedding dry, damp bedding encourages bacteria and mould far more than dry bedding does. Free delivery on all orders over 49 euro. Orders under 49 euro have a delivery charge of 6.95 euro. We deliver anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.
A standard, non dust extracted wood shaving can genuinely irritate a small animal's respiratory system over time, given how close to the bedding they live. This one is dust extracted specifically to reduce that risk while keeping all the natural absorbency of wood.
