The ExoTerra Intense Basking Spot 100W is a basking spot lamp with a tight, focused beam, increasing heat and light by around 35 percent compared to a standard bulb and allowing greater distance between the bulb and the basking site. It produces deep heating Infrared A and Infrared B wavelengths that mimic natural sunlight, along with a small amount of UVA that contributes to a reptile's physiological wellbeing. It is intended for use with reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates only.
Position the bulb at the correct distance for the terrarium's size and the specific reptile's needs, following species specific temperature guidance rather than guessing, since basking temperature requirements vary considerably between reptile species. Always use with a fixture rated for the bulb's wattage, and never handle the bulb while hot. No, this bulb does not produce UVB, a separate UVB source is still needed for reptiles that require it. Free delivery on all orders over 49 euro. Orders under 49 euro have a delivery charge of 6.95 euro. We deliver anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.
A reptile that cannot properly thermoregulate cannot digest food, heal, or stay healthy the way it needs to. This bulb gives a genuine, directed basking heat source, letting a reptile move between warm and cool zones exactly as it would in the wild.
