The Ancol Awareness Lead in Caution Red is a 1.5m dog lead made from durable, eco friendly recycled webbing, built to do a job most leads do not, communicating at a glance. The bold Caution text tells other dog owners and passers by that this dog needs extra space, without a word being said, which takes real pressure off an owner managing a reactive dog, a dog in recovery from injury, or a dog that simply does not want to be approached on a walk. The 40mm width gives a strong, confident hold, and the lead is finished with a sturdy metal D ring so a poop bag holder or keys can be clipped on. It suits any owner who is tired of explaining their dog's needs to strangers mid walk, and works well alongside a front clip harness for dogs still learning loose lead walking.
This lead communicates a need, it does not manage the dog physically any better than a standard lead, so it works best alongside training and the right harness or collar setup rather than as a stand alone fix. Check the trigger hook and stitching regularly for wear and replace if damaged. Machine washable at 30 degrees, do not tumble dry. Free delivery on all orders over 49 euro. Orders under 49 euro have a delivery charge of 6.95 euro. We deliver anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.
A dog that needs space gets misread constantly on busy walking routes, and most owners end up having the same awkward conversation over and over. This lead has the conversation before it starts, in bright, unmissable red text, so walks stay calmer for the dog and less stressful for the owner.
It signals to other people and dog owners that this dog needs extra space and distance, useful for reactive, nervous or recovering dogs.
