Whistlers Small Breeds is a complete dry food for small dogs, made in Ireland and sold in a 2kg bag. Chicken is the only meat, 26 percent chicken meal plus chicken liver, with rice at 26 percent. It carries salmon oil, green lipped mussel at 1,000mg per kg and a prebiotic, mannan oligosaccharides. No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Whistlers daily guide, split over two meals, normal activity first and high activity second. Dogs of 2 to 4kg, 45 to 75g or 50 to 90g. 4 to 6kg, 75 to 105g or 90 to 120g. 6 to 8kg, 105 to 135g or 120 to 150g. 8 to 10kg, 135 to 160g or 150 to 180g. Small dogs gain weight fast on a few extra grams, so weigh the food rather than guessing. Move over from the old food across 5 to 7 days.
This is wheat free, not grain free. Along with rice it contains oats, barley and prairie meal, which is a maize protein. Chicken is the only meat, so it is not one for a dog that reacts to chicken. At 18 percent fat it is a rich food, which suits busy little dogs but can pile weight on a lazy one, so watch the portions. Whistlers call the range naturally hypoallergenic, that is the maker's claim.
