A 150g serving of wet food for small breed adults, built on 65 percent duck with 12.5 percent brown rice and 10 percent vegetables from potato, carrots and peas.
Duck is a useful protein for a dog that has had chicken and beef all its life and started reacting to one of them. The rest of the recipe is worth reading. Chicory root and yeast are there as prebiotic fibre, which feeds the gut bacteria rather than the dog, and there is kelp, cranberry, blueberry, basil, yucca and pomegranate extract in small amounts. It analyses at 7.5 percent fat and 121 kcal per 100g. A small dog on wet food is easy to overfeed, because the portions look modest and a 150g serving is a real meal for a 5kg dog.
Weigh the dog once a month rather than guessing. On a small dog, 200g either way is a lot of dog. Free delivery anywhere in Ireland once you spend 49 euro.
Some recipes are grain-free (the "GF" range — gravy cans, jelly cans, potato & veg). The standard rice & veg recipes are grain-inclusive (rice).
Cans are typically 390g and good for medium-to-large dogs as a meal or topper. Pouches are 150g — small-breed portion sizes or treat-style additions.
Yes — the Puppy GF Chicken & Veg pouches are formulated for puppies. The Grain Free Puppy 400g tin is the larger option.
