GAIN Elite Grain Free Big Dogs Adult Chicken is a cereal free dry food for adult large breed dogs, made in Ireland, in a 2kg bag. It runs 23% protein and 11% oils and fats, with fresh chicken declared at 25% as the first ingredient.
The fat sits three points below the small breed grain free recipe for the same reason it does across the whole range, weight on a big frame lands on the joints. This one also adds MSM at 300mg per kg. The carbohydrate is peas, sweet potato and potato flakes, with no maize, rice or wheat anywhere in the panel.
Free delivery anywhere in Ireland once you spend 49 euro.
Ireland. Gain Pet Nutrition is manufactured at Glanbia/Tirlán's mills in Portlaoise (Co. Laois) and Clonroche (Co. Wexford).
No. Gain is grain-inclusive — mid-tier wet food, not a premium grain-free brand.
Premium Cuts use richer ingredient combinations (more named meat, more variety per can). Value Cuts is the price-conscious range without artificial preservatives or colours.
12-can variety packs in 400g cans. The Premium Countrystew, Premium Variety, and Value Cuts are the three main multi-buys.
