GAIN Maintenance and Retire is a complete dry dog food for older and less active dogs, made in Ireland, in a 15kg bag. It runs 19.5% protein and 8.5% oils and fats, the lowest fat in the GAIN dry range.
The reasoning is straightforward. A retired working dog or an older pet burns considerably less than it did, and the usual result is weight going on. Dropping fat to 8.5% pulls the calories down without cutting protein much below the standard adult recipes. Ingredients are declared by category rather than by named meat, in common with GAIN Original and Crunchy.

No. Gain is grain-inclusive — mid-tier wet food, not a premium grain-free brand.
Premium Cuts use richer ingredient combinations (more named meat, more variety per can). Value Cuts is the price-conscious range without artificial preservatives or colours.
12-can variety packs in 400g cans. The Premium Countrystew, Premium Variety, and Value Cuts are the three main multi-buys.
