GAIN Elite Grain Free Small Dogs Adult Salmon is a cereal free dry food for adult small breed dogs, made in Ireland, in a 6kg bag. It runs 25% protein and 14% oils and fats, with fresh salmon declared at 25% as the first ingredient.
Fresh salmon leads and dried salmon adds a further 17%, the highest total fish inclusion in the GAIN dry range. Omega 3 comes out at 1.7%, which is more than double the Elite chicken recipe and the highest figure across the whole GAIN dry line up. Carbohydrate is peas, sweet potato and potato flakes rather than maize or rice. Worth knowing the fat used is chicken fat, so this is not a poultry free food.
