GAIN Elite Big Dogs Puppy is a complete dry food for large breed puppies, made in Ireland, in a 12kg bag. It carries 27% protein and 14% oils and fats, with dried chicken and turkey at a declared minimum of 24%.
Large breed puppy food is the one category where more is not better. Grow a big pup too fast and the skeleton pays for it, which is why this sits at 27% protein rather than the 29% in the small breed puppy recipe, with calcium held at 1.5% against phosphorus at 1.1%. Glucosamine and MSM are both in at 300mg per kg, unusual in a puppy food and sensible in a breed that will carry real weight. Whole dried eggs feature as an additional protein. It is GAIN Elite and it performs and feeds well.
