Beaphar Lactol Kitten Milk is a complete milk replacer formulated to mimic maternal milk as closely as possible, used for hand rearing unweaned kittens, orphaned kittens, or when a litter is larger than the mother can fully feed. It is enriched with DHA to support normal brain function and vision, taurine to support a cat's specific nutritional needs, and vitamins A, B6, B12 and D to support the immune system, made from highly digestible proteins that are gentle on a young kitten's stomach.
Use the scoop provided and mix with warm water, allowing boiled water to cool first, then cool the mixture to blood temperature around 38 degrees Celsius before feeding, never feed it hot. Proper feeding equipment such as a Beaphar feeding set or feeding syringes should always be clean and sterile before use. Prepared milk can be refrigerated for 24 hours but must be reheated to blood temperature before the next feed. Weigh kittens daily during hand rearing and compare growth against guidance from a vet or breeder, and speak to a vet if a kitten is not gaining weight as expected.
