The Ancol Ergo Shedmaster Tool Small is built specifically for moulting season, using fine teeth that whisk away loose hair from both the top coat and the undercoat in one pass. The smaller head suits smaller breeds and tighter areas of the coat, such as around the legs, chest and face, where the Large size would be too bulky to manage comfortably. It suits any dog with a double coat or a heavy seasonal shed, giving a genuinely useful outlet for the volume of loose fur that builds up during a moult, rather than relying on a standard brush alone to keep pace.
Always work on a coat free of knots and mats first, and brush gently in the direction of fur growth rather than against it. Start sessions gently and increase pressure only once the dog is settled and comfortable, pausing or ending the session if the dog shows signs of stress or agitation. Keep early sessions brief, building up gradually as the dog gets used to the tool. Free delivery on all orders over 49 euro. Orders under 49 euro have a delivery charge of 6.95 euro. We deliver anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.
A standard brush barely makes a dent during a heavy seasonal moult, and a large tool can be clumsy on a small dog or a tight area of coat. This smaller size gives the same fine teeth undercoat removal in a more manageable head for smaller breeds and detail areas.
The Small size suits smaller breeds and tighter areas of coat like the legs, chest and face.
During moulting season, on dogs with a double coat or heavy seasonal shed.
Yes, work through any knots or mats with a brush or comb first for the best result.
