The Ancol Ergo Deluxe Shedding Blade Medium is a double sided grooming tool built to strip loose and dead hair from a dog's coat, particularly useful during moulting season when normal brushing alone struggles to keep up. One side carries smaller teeth suited to shorter coats, the other larger teeth for longer coats, so one tool covers both without needing to buy separate blades. It can be used closed for small dogs or smaller areas of the body, or opened up to cover larger areas like down the back more efficiently. The deluxe handle keeps grooming sessions comfortable to hold through longer sessions during a heavy shed.
Always brush gently in the direction of fur growth rather than against it, and start with light pressure, increasing only once the dog is comfortable with the tool. Keep grooming sessions brief to start with, especially for a dog new to this kind of tool, and pause or stop if the dog becomes agitated or stressed.
