The Ancol Heritage Leather Studded Collar in tan is made in the UK from European bridle leather and finished with nickel studs. This is size 7, which fits a neck of 50 to 59cm.
Bridle leather is the grade used for horse tack, chosen because it is stuffed with grease and wax during tanning and holds up to weather and load. That is why a collar like this outlives three nylon ones. The studs here are sewn and set rather than stuck on, and the design is deliberately plain, which is the whole point of the Heritage range.
Leather is porous. If it gets soaked some of the natural dye can run, so let it air dry on its own and never put heat near it. A wipe of leather conditioner once a year keeps it supple. Free delivery anywhere in Ireland once you spend 49 euro.
