The Aqua Dreams Starter Aquarium is a 12 litre complete tank setup aimed at anyone getting their first aquarium, whether that is a first fish for a child or a first tropical or coldwater setup for an adult. A starter aquarium at this scale suits a small community of appropriately sized fish once the tank has been properly cycled, and gives a manageable, affordable entry point into fishkeeping without needing to source a tank, filter and other basics separately.
A new aquarium needs to cycle before fish are added, using a product such as API Stress Coat and API Quick Start to treat the water and establish the beneficial bacteria that keep fish safe, rather than adding fish to freshly filled water. Research the specific fish intended for the tank before buying them, since stocking levels matter more in a smaller aquarium than a large one. Free delivery on all orders over 49 euro. Orders under 49 euro have a delivery charge of 6.95 euro. We deliver anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.
Piecing together a tank, filter, lid and lighting separately as a first time buyer is confusing and often more expensive than it needs to be. This starter aquarium gives a straightforward, complete setup to begin with.
