The Ancol Nylon Mesh Muzzle is a soft, breathable muzzle built for management rather than punishment, letting a dog breathe, pant and drink normally while it is worn, which matters for genuine welfare during a stressful moment like a vet visit, grooming session or nervous encounter on a walk. Size 3 fits around 20cm around the nose and 15cm in length, typically suiting breeds around Labrador, German Shepherd or Doberman size, though actual head shape varies dog to dog so a fit check always matters more than breed name alone. It also gives peace of mind on walks for a dog that tends to scavenge, preventing it picking up something harmful from the ground.
Never leave a dog unattended while wearing any muzzle, mesh or otherwise. Introduce it gradually at home for short, positive sessions before ever needing it for real, rather than putting it on for the first time in a stressful situation, since a dog that is comfortable with a muzzle copes far better when it actually matters. Check the fit allows full panting and a small water intake, a muzzle that is too tight defeats the welfare purpose it is meant to serve. Free delivery on all orders over 49 euro. Orders under 49 euro have a delivery charge of 6.95 euro. We deliver anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.
A muzzle carries a stigma it does not deserve, plenty of well adjusted, friendly dogs wear one simply for vet visits, grooming, or to stop scavenging on walks. This mesh design lets a dog pant and drink normally while wearing it, so it does its job without compromising comfort or welfare.

Yes, the mesh design allows normal panting and some drinking, unlike a solid muzzle.
Common reasons include vet visits, grooming, or stopping a dog scavenging harmful items on walks, not just aggression.
