The Ancol Cable Knit Jumper in Charcoal is a thick, cosy woollen jumper built for dogs that feel the cold on Irish walks, from short coated breeds to older dogs who need extra warmth. Large size measures 50cm and suits medium to larger breeds. The classic cable knit design has a rolled neck and back leg straps for a secure, snug fit that will not slip during a walk, and a harness hole lets a harness be worn underneath so the jumper doubles up as a warm mid layer rather than getting in the way. It works well on its own for a quick garden trip or under a waterproof coat for longer walks in wet Irish weather, and gives an older or thin coated dog real extra warmth through the winter months.
Fit is based on back length, not weight, so measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail before choosing a size rather than guessing from breed alone. This is a jumper for warmth and comfort, not a waterproof layer, so it will get wet in heavy rain and is best paired with a waterproof coat on top for longer walks.
